This natural grouping of starfish was found in a tidal pool, shadowed by a major rock outcropping at lovely Cannon Beach. After looking at several other similar groupings, I was drawn back to this scene due to the intense color and distinct texture of the starfish.
A B&W circular polarizer filter was used to reduce glare from the surface of the starfish and the water. Exposure: . Nikon D70 camera, Nikkor DX 18-70 mm 1:3.5 – 4.5G ED lens, and a Gitzo G 2220 tripod with a Manfrotto 486 head.
