As aspiring landscape photographers, we're taught to compose horizontals scenic images following the classic Rule of Thirds. In fact, at times, Mother Nature leaves little discretion to the photographer, revealing three distinct horizontal planes of reference for our limited two dimensional display. Such was the situation for this stark Government Prairie photo, albeit given an unexpected stacking of land-clouds-sky. All owing to the intriguing forces of nature ....
