Foot Prints, Mesquite Flat Dunes, Death Valley National Park, California

"Although the easy access to the Mesquite Flat Dunes proved helpful, we also found lots of hikers leaving footprints everywhere. Initially, this was a disappointment, but how could we really expect to have an incredible field of dunes like this all to ourselves? Our best photographs here were taken in the early morning, after a night of wind and light rain formed pristine ripples across the dunes."
